At the Matambeni Bird Hide the Just-Go team was treated to an exhibition of size and strength. This hippo is showing off its jaw which incidentally can measure up to 1.2 metres accross. You can see his lower canine teeth clearly. These tusk like

We at Just-GO have seen juvenile hyaenas before on our trips through the park, but never this many and never any so young. While the Just-GO team was crossing the bridge over the Olifonts river they were amazed to find a large bird perched right on the rail of the bridge. Sable Near Skukuza

Ground Hornbill
Ground Hornbill Gets A Beak-full

One of the largest bird species in the Kruger National Park is the Southern Ground Hornbill. They can weigh up to 6.2kg (13.6 lbs) and be as long as 129cm (51 in).
